9:30am-10:30am, 11th November

‘Continuous Improvement with Industry 4.0 technologies’

There is lots of talk about Industry 4.0 and its technologies, but how can these help in our Continuous Improvement journey? This webinar will explore these opportunities and discuss how they can make a positive impact to you and your organisation.

For us, these new digital tools augment what we know and practice from Lean Thinking and Six Sigma and give us more tools in our toolbox to help meet the challenges that our industries face. How do we know when and where we could be deploying Industry 4.0 technologies, to give us authentic productivity improvements?

Join the MADE Cymru team in this short webinar and see how we can develop these ideas, tools and techniques to benefit your organisation and our Continuous Improvement journeys so that we never stop improving.

9:30am-10:30am, 25th November

‘Capturing Ideas and Managing Innovation’

Looking to boost innovation in your company, but not sure where to start? This webinar can be your perfect launch pad to start your innovation journey.

Covid 19 and the effects it’s having in our personal and work lives has been ‘ever present’ since the early spring – and is likely to remain so for some time to come. Therefore being ‘innovative’ can no longer be viewed as an optional extra to a company’s activity, innovationhas to be a priority and very much at the core of any organisation that wants to secure ongoing business.

So, for our companies to survive this situation – and then to prosper, they’ll need to be pro-active in capturing ideas – and then have the ‘know-how’ to manage the potential innovations that could make the difference between success or failure.

Join us for this seminar in which Alan Mumby, our Innovation Management and New Product Development expert (and lecturer) will discuss some of the more important factors when your company is looking to capture the ideas and then manage the commercially viable innovations.

Who should attend? Designers, Marketing, NPD Managers, Engineers, Finance Managers, HR Managers, Science based R&D ….or any professional that has an interest in the success of their business…..

9:30am-10:30am, 15th December

‘Additive manufacturing and its untold benefits’

Developing products, processes and prototypes can be a long and complicated process. Join our webinar and benefit from the support and expertise of our team.

We use our knowledge and experience to offer a wide range of approaches and technologies that could help you bring a prototype or concept to life. The team works with manufacturers to explore how advanced technologies, new materials, tools and techniques could optimise products and increase efficiencies in the manufacturing processes.

This webinar will include a virtual tour and overview from our Centre for Advanced Batch Manufacture (CBM), where our team trains manufacturing professionals to take advantage of production technologies such as 3D printing, injection moulding and vacuum casting.

This will be followed by two short talks:

‘Understanding benefits and limitations: introduction to additive manufacturing and downstream processes/applications’

‘Case studies: generative designs driving efficiency, additive prototyping not just for additive production’

There will also be an opportunity to discuss products and projects with the team.

These webinars are brought to you by MADE Cymru, a suite of programmes designed to navigate organisations through Industry 4.0 via collaborative research & development and upskilling. Part/Fully Funded by the European Social Fund/European Regional Development Fund through the Welsh Government. Delivered by University of Wales Trinity Saint David.
