Join us for coffee and find out how MADE Cymru’s courses and collaborative projects could benefit you

MADE Cymru is now accepting students for the Upskilling for Industry 4.0 and International Innovation Management courses starting February 5th 2021. What’s more, the courses are fully funded for eligible students:

  • Continuous Improvement with Industry 4.0 (Certificate 40 credits Level 5)
  • Smart Manufacturing with Industry 4.0 (Certificate 40 credits Level 7)
  • Industry 4.0 Advanced Manufacturing (MSc Level 7) – option to study individual modules if desired
  • Business Improvement with Innovation Management (Certificate 40 credits Level 7)
  • International Innovation Management (MSc Level 7)

The courses, certified by University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD), have doubled their number of students since launch in 2019. Classes are delivered via online blended learning (on a Friday afternoon), making it ideal for students to study alongside their normal jobs. There are also different options from individual bite-sized modules to a full Masters so it can be flexible to suit different needs and commitments.

Current students are from a diverse range of small and large Welsh manufacturing sectors including automotive, product design, architectural glass and fabrics. They are keen to find out more about disruptive technologies and how they can apply what they learn to their own organisations to help future-proof both their jobs and the manufacturing sector in Wales.

We’ve organised an informal virtual coffee morning at 9:30am on Wednesday 13th January 2021 for you to find out more. We’d love you to come along and listen to the lecturers discuss the courses and hear some feedback from current students. You can also ask any questions you might have.

Upskilling for Industry 4.0 and International Innovation courses

In addition to offering these upskilling opportunities, the MADE Cymru team are also working with small to medium sized manufacturers in Wales on R&D projects (via our Advanced Design Engineering initiative) that are designed to increase the efficiency and quality of processes and products. We help businesses in Wales take advantage of new and advanced technologies such as additive manufacturing (3D printing) that are available as a result of Industry 4.0. The value of our collaborative R&D projects to date already exceeds £100,000, with the predicted impact to the companies likely to be worth over £3m.

Come along to a virtual coffee morning with the Advanced Design Engineering team. Hear an update from the MADE Cymru team. There will be a sharing of projects and case studies from the Welsh companies we are working with. Plus, there’s the opportunity to discuss working with your organisation on a collaborative R&D project to positively impact your processes and products. All fully funded.
