Our short course in Business Improvement with Innovation Management is already popular with large numbers of students from different job roles and sectors across Wales. Presently we have students from Marketing, Law, Finance, Operations, Management and even a Chemist.
Regardless of your company’s industry sector, the success and sustainability of any enterprising business will always hinge on how innovative you are.
2022 is a good time for Welsh companies to revisit, review and revise their innovation strategies – companies that fail to understand the true meaning of innovation often struggle to bring new products and services to market.
MADE Cymru’s short course puts innovation management and new product development at the core of the teaching. Students study two modules:
Introduction to Innovation Management
- Types of innovation management
- Managing uncertainty and risk
- Challenges and barriers
- Business drivers
- Technology drivers
- Measuring innovation

Management of New Product Development
- Brand and product strategy
- Business models for product development
- Managing research and development
- Collaborative product development
- Circular economy
- Creating the product design specification
The course is delivered in short weekly sessions over 32 weeks. It is designed to fit around busy work schedules and you can attend from anywhere (it is online). Our lecturers are all industry experts and there are often guest speakers from across the globe.
The course is delivered and certified by University of Wales Trinity Saint David, supported by the European Social Fund through the Welsh Government.
We are currently recruiting for a June 10th start.
We are looking forward to hearing from you.
