Innovation students look forward to live broadcast from India

This Friday 4th December, Innovation Strategist Chaitrali Palande will be delivering a talk called “A Perspective of Innovation in India” – live from Pune, India.

When putting together MADE Cymru’s wish-list of guest lecturers for the International Innovation Management module, lecturer Alan Mumby knew that he needed speakers who specialised in both innovation management and new product development – but just as important, that they were located in the important economic regions of the world.

So you can imagine how pleased the team were when they found out that Chaitrali Palande, an innovation specialist based in Pune India, was available and happy to come and share with the students on both of the innovation management courses.

Wales has always had a significant relationship with India – socially, culturally and of course in terms of business relationships. Therefore, for the students here in University of Wales Trinity Saint David, the consequence of having a better understanding of India’s perspective on innovation and new product development is both very interesting and very strategic.

Chaitrali studied for her degree in engineering at the highly acclaimed Savitribai Phule Pune Universityandthen moved on to complete her masters in Multidisciplinary Innovation at Northumbria University in Newcastle, England.

During her time spent in the UK and consequently on her return to India, Chaitrali has applied her specialist knowledge to impact a number of notable companies and organisations, such as; Virgin Money, National Trust-UK, MultiChoice-SA, Nedbank-SA, UltraTech Cement, Azione-UK, Renolit, Chief Minister Fellowship Maharashtra, The Percy Hedley Foundation and Weikfield Foods.

The students and lecturer Alan Mumby are looking forward to welcoming Chaitrali and very much appreciate the time she is taking to talk to them.
