Continuing with our International Innovation Management module, this Friday 25th September we’ll be joined live from Madrid by Mariló Vallecillo, who was one of the ‘stand out’ speakers at an Innovation Management Conference that Alan Mumby, IIM lecturer, attended in May.

Mariló joined the Telefonica Connected Open Innovation unit to lead a new team, ‘Fast Track Funnel’. The challenge being to speed up the impact of open innovation in corporate business whilst at the same time keeping risk under control. The process is based on continuous delivery of minimum viable products which are built by combining corporate and start-up assets to create value for the customers.

Mariló is passionate about discovering new things, “…doesn´t matter if it’s a country, a technology or DIY (try at least!) technique”.

You can only be intrigued by the title of her lecture – ‘Innovate or die: Open Innovation in an (almost) 100-years old company’…..the students are really looking forward to taking part in this one….!
